Job Description
Certified Peer Recovery Specialist will provide support, mentorship, and hope to individuals navigating substance use, mental health, or co-occurring challenges. The role will involve building authentic, trust-based relationships with clients, assisting them in developing recovery plans, connecting them to community resources, and promoting wellness, empowerment, and self-advocacy.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Maryland Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) credential required
- Personal lived experience with recovery from substance use and/or mental health challenges required
- Minimum 1 year of sustained recovery strongly preferred
