(Senior) Data Engineer (m/w/d)

esentri is seeking a (Senior) Data Engineer to build data platforms and support customers with data science projects. The role involves conceiving and implementing data lakes, data warehouses, ELT processes, streaming analytics, and MLOps within cloud environments. The ideal candidate will advise, support customers, and share knowledge within the team, contributing to data-driven solutions and positive societal impact.

Requirements

• Completed education or degree in IT field
• Career changer with professional experience in IT
• Several years of practical professional experience in Data Engineering (building ELT pipelines, data warehousing, streaming analytics)
• Experience in using and providing data services on one of the major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code frameworks such as Terraform (advantageous)
• Expertise in Data Science and Machine Learning (ideally)
• Experience in Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
• Affinity for modern IT technologies and self-organization
• Willingness to question working methods and develop further
• Very good German language skills
• Openness to occasional travel to customers
