Payroll Specialist

Essen Health Care is seeking a Payroll Specialist to perform daily payroll operations. They are a large, privately held medical group in the Bronx, providing high-quality, compassionate, and accessible medical care to vulnerable residents of New York State. They offer telehealth, in-person services, and home phone programs across multiple locations.

Requirements

• Maintain and document all payroll records
• Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
• Reconcile and validate payroll
• Understand proper taxation of salaries, benefits and other factors
• Process and monitor garnishment orders and other deductions
• Execute time and attendance processing
• Review data/files received from HR
• Address employee’s payroll and timekeeping inquiries
• Associate degree in relevant field
