Job Description
Etched is building AI chips with hard-coded architectures, aiming for lower latency and higher throughput than GPUs. They are seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure product quality and compliance at contracted manufacturing partners in Taiwan. This role involves owning quality performance, managing supplier quality, and ensuring robust inspection processes. It is a hands-on role focused on building scalable, reliable processes.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in quality engineering, supplier quality, or manufacturing quality roles.
- Proven experience managing quality at Tier 1 CMs or ODMs in Taiwan.
- Strong knowledge of quality systems (FMEA, SPC, 8D, ISO/AS standards) and process control methodologies.
- Familiarity with assembly and test flows (substrates, package, PCBA, system-level integration).
- Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin and English with excellent communication skills.
- Hands-on problem solver with strong data analysis and root-cause investigation skills.
- Prior startup or NPI ramp-up experience with fast-moving teams
