Group Exercise Instructor (GXI)

The Group Exercise Instructor leads engaging and effective fitness classes, demonstrating proper exercise techniques while motivating participants of all fitness levels.

Requirements

• Current Primary Group Fitness Certification (ACE, AFAA, NASM) or a specialty certification from an accredited institution.
• Current CPR, First Aid and AED certification.
• At least one year of experience or related experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum age of 18 years old.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with members and colleagues.
• Deadline/Task orientated-sense of urgency.
• Highly punctual and dependable; committed to starting and ending classes on time.
• High energy, proactive, requiring little direction, takes responsibility.
• Team oriented.
• Willingness to be flexible and available to work shift changes as needed.
• Willingness to perform job tasks not part of immediate job responsibilities but aides in member satisfaction and getting the job done.
