Job Description
EvergreenHealth is seeking a Professional Coding Audit & Education Specialist to independently perform coding reviews, audits, and education for healthcare professionals. The role involves providing detailed reports, creating customized training materials, and acting as a subject matter expert in coding standards and regulations. The position focuses on both internal audit and external education.
Requirements
- High school diploma or G.E.D
- Current professional coding credential (CP, COC, CMC, or AHIMA)
- Experience in a multi-specialty medical group setting
- Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding
- Familiarity with medical terminology and coding guidelines
- Understanding of anatomy, physiology and disease processes
- Expanded understanding of payer billing requirements
- Excellent communication skills
