We are searching for a passionate Assistant Social Media Editor to create, schedule, and post content on various social media platforms for BabyCenter and What to Expect. The ideal candidate is excited to produce content, thrives on adapting to shifting platform algorithms, and is genuinely plugged into online mom culture.
Requirements
- BA/BS or equivalent experience in digital marketing, journalism, communications, or a related field
- Ability to work in our New York City office a minimum of 1 day a week
- Proven success managing multiple projects at once, working quickly, and meeting deadlines
- Excellent social media writing, organization, and communication skills
- Hands-on experience creating, publishing, and optimizing social media content for a brand, publication, student organization, or creator project across platforms including Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, Facebook, X, and/or YouTube
- Working understanding of platform-specific features and scheduling tools
- Experience using Canva and being on camera for social videos a big plus
