The Automation Specialist works within a multidisciplinary team focused on innovation and customer satisfaction in the context of development and integration projects of large-scale industrial systems in non-destructive testing. The role involves designing, implementing, and integrating electrical and automation components within assigned projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or technical degree in the field of engineering (electrical, automation, robotics, etc.)
- 0 to 5 years of relevant experience in programming industrial equipment and automation
- Interest in working with new technologies and facing new technological challenges
- Interest in working in a role involving clients and external development partners to achieve projects
- Interest in non-destructive testing technologies
- Knowledge of basic PLC and HMI platforms (Siemens Step7, WinCC, TIA Portal, etc.) or Allen-Bradley (Studio 5000, FTview ME, etc.)
- Knowledge of basic PLC, HMI, and Drive families from Siemens or Allen-Bradley (an asset)
- Knowledge of speed converters (an asset)
- Knowledge of industrial network architecture and communication protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profinet/Profisafe, Profibus, etc.)
- Knowledge of low-voltage distribution equipment (600V)
- Knowledge of industrial robot programming platforms (Kuka, Fanuc, ABB, etc.) (an asset)
- Knowledge of industrial electrical plans, Autocad/Eplan (an asset)
- Knowledge of VMWare (an asset)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools
- Determine an advanced level of English to collaborate with stakeholders abroad
- Hold or be able to obtain a valid passport and be available to travel 8 to 16 weeks per year
- Autonomy, ability to work independently, without relying on others, or waiting for instructions to execute projects
- Effective communication, transmitting and receiving ideas through various media to facilitate understanding and create productive working relationships
