Job Description
Excelitas is a global technology leader seeking a Diamond Turning Process Engineer to sustain and improve fabrication processes in single-point diamond turning for production optics manufacturing. The role involves technical expertise, documentation creation, training, troubleshooting, and process improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field (Physics, Optics, etc.)
- 5+ years of single-point diamond turning optical component fabrication experience desirable
- Proficiency with Nanotech Ultra-Precision Lathes desirable
- Proficiency with Zygo and Form Talysurf metrology desirable
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or other CAD software desirable
- Proficiency with SPC desirable
- Experience with structured problem-solving tools (8D, DMAIC, etc) desirable
