Job Description
Create, modify and test SQL queries, stored procedures and views for diverse source systems and platforms. Assist in roll-out of new SQL based applications and improve operational reporting environment.
Requirements
- Create, modify and test various SQL queries, stored procedures and views for obtaining data from diverse source systems and platforms
- Assist in the roll-out of new SQL based applications, problem fixes, and enhancements of software
- Follow database best practices to improve the operational reporting environment while focusing on resolving problems raised by team members, stakeholders and end users
- Implement/develop ETL using T-SQL/SSIS and other data movement requirements using SQL
- Develops original and/or complex code in T-SQL/ SQL/SSIS
- Design and develop new SQL code as part of an ETL process
- Develop stored procedures functions using T-SQL/SQL; Improve SQL procedures, Window services /.NET programs which transform and load data
- Responsible for data profiling, source-target mappings, ETL development, SQL tunings and optimization, testing and implementation
- Leverage MS Access database to support select use cases and SQL queries within to query the DB
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to effectively and professionally communicate with others, including situations where you may disagree with people
