Vice President, Software Engineering

Experian is a global data and technology company seeking a Vice President, Software Engineering to lead their engineering strategy and operations, with a focus on AWS driven innovation. The role involves developing software engineering strategy, managing a large engineering organization, and promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and learning.

Requirements

• 15+ years of progressive professional experience in software engineering
• 7+ years in a senior leadership capacity managing large, diverse engineering teams
• Demonstrated, hands-on experience architecting and managing large-scale, database-intensive applications in the cloud, ideally in AWS
• Substantial experience migrating applications and databases from traditional data centers to the cloud
• Knowledge and hands-on experience with legacy Microsoft technologies, including SQL Server,.NET, MSMQ
• Background in Agile software development methodologies and DevOps practices
• Experience with data privacy and security frameworks such as HITRUST, SOC2, and NIST
• Experience developing AI models, optimizing algorithms, implementing and deploying AI solutions to solve real-world problems
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
