Assistant Director of Care (ADOC) - Full Time (FT) Extendicare Van Daele

Candidates are invited to apply for the Assistant Director of Care position at Extendicare Van Daele, a 100-bed Long-Term care home located in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario. The role is accountable for assisting with the management of all aspects of nursing care within the home to ensure quality resident care.

Requirements

• Registered Nurse registered with College of Nurses of Ontario
• BScN an asset
• Minimum of three years' experience in long term care
• Previous management experience an asset
• Current knowledge of clinical issues for geriatric residents, infection control, principles of adult education and quality improvement
• Knowledge of RAI MDS is required
• Demonstrated superior leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Computer skills: Microsoft Word; Excel, computerized resident care and assessment programs
