Job Description
The Director of Investment Accounting will oversee GAAP and statutory reporting for insurance company investments, collaborating with Finance, Investment, Asset Managers, and accounting administrators. This role focuses on driving decisions, improving processes, and ensuring compliance with SEC and NAIC requirements. The Director will manage a staff of investment accounting professionals and work with an external administrator and asset managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum of eight years of investment accounting, financial reporting, or auditing experience
- 5+ years in a leadership role with a team of accounting professionals
- Experience with GAAP and statutory accounting for insurance company general account portfolios
- CPA, CFA, and/or MBA preferred
