Lead Accounting Advisory

The Lead, Accounting Advisory will be a core contributor to the team responsible for ensuring compliance with GAAP and statutory reporting for F&G, focusing on reinsurance transactions, mergers & acquisitions, and actuarial accounting. The role involves providing guidance on accounting issues, evaluating and documenting accounting requirements, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. It requires strong analytical, organizational, communication, and research skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required
• 5+ years of work experience required, with insurance industry experience preferred
• CPA preferred
• Public accounting experience preferred
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Strong understanding of GAAP and STAT accounting requirements, with life insurance and reinsurance accounting experience
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple assignments
• Ability to research accounting issues, write professional and quality accounting policies and position papers and communicate conclusions effectively
