Job Description
Fastly is seeking a Customer Solutions Engineer to be the primary technical contact for customers, building strong relationships and providing proactive support. This role involves building long-term customer relationships, implementing Fastly products, and investing in new features. The Senior Cloud Engineer will serve as an extension of the customer's technical team and champion their needs.
Requirements
- At least 8+ years of experience in Pre-Sales or Post-Sales roles within Sales Engineering, Technical Support, Technical Account Management, or Professional Services.
- Success as a relationship builder and collaborator with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience with SaaS/Cloud deployments and Application Server technologies.
- Understanding of HTTP/s, TCP, TLS, DNS, HLS, DASH, Load Balancing, Apache, NGINX
- Understanding of networking, including BGP, internet routing, and the difference between transit and peering.
- Hands-on experience with Linux and scripting languages/tools such as (Python, Sed, Awk, Perl, JSON, Ruby, GO, Node.js).
