Job Description
Felix is a luxury lifestyle magazine seeking a Copy Editor Intern/Volunteer to assist with copy editing and fact checking content for Felix and FelixMag.co. The ideal candidate is a student or recent graduate with excellent command of the English language and experience in copy editing and research.
Requirements
- Passion for women's economic opportunities
- Full or part-time student working toward a degree
- Eligible to receive school credit and commit to 2-3 days a week for 3 months
- Excellent command of the English language
- Proven ability to work to stringent deadlines
- Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously
- Ability to work in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
- Integrity, honesty, openness, and willingness to operate as a team player
- Conscientious, detail-oriented, and efficient
- Impeccable understanding of grammar and good writing
- Strong copy editing and research/fact checking experience
- Proficient in Chicago Manual of Style, MS Word, InCopy/InDesign, MAC/PC platforms
- Experience with HTML and content management systems
- Familiarity with fashion, beauty, society, and culture (plus)
