Job Description
Field AI is seeking a Forward Deployed Engineer to lead the deployment and operation of autonomous systems in the real world. This role involves both hands-on engineering tasks and collaboration with customers and internal teams, ensuring reliable and high-performing systems for missions like robotics. They aim to be mission-critical through field application.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Robotics, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2+ years of experience in software engineering, systems integration, or field deployment of complex technical systems.
- Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, C++, or JavaScript).
- Familiarity with Linux-based systems, containerization, and cloud infrastructure.
- Strong troubleshooting and debugging skills across software, hardware, and networking layers.
