Heavy-duty Equipment Mechanic Apprentice

This is an apprentice position for a Heavy-duty Equipment Mechanic at a remote site in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The apprentice will troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and maintain heavy equipment. They will also provide regular maintenance reports and documentation.

Requirements

• Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions
• Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment
• Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts
• Keep maintenance reports and documentation
• Test repaired equipment for proper performance
• Attach components and adjust new farm equipment
• Clean, lubricate and perform other maintenance work
• Service attachments and working tools
• Perform other routine maintenance
• Physical ability to handle heavy loads and bending/crouching/kneeling
