Diesel Mechanic

Diagnose, repair and maintain fire apparatus and emergency vehicles, with a focus on diesel engines and welding/fabrication.

Requirements

• Self-starter with positive can-do attitude
• Knowledge of Diesel engines preferred
• Valid class CDL B driver's license with Air Brakes or willingness to obtain within the first year
• Knowledge of up-to-date methods of maintaining autos, trucks and emergency vehicles preferred
• ASE and/or EVT certifications a plus
• Ability to TIG aluminum, TIG stainless steel, MIG aluminum and MIG steel a PLUS
• Able to weld components in flat, vertical or overhead positions a PLUS
