Job Description
The Fire Sprinkler Designer is responsible for producing fire protection design drawings and calculations for permitting and construction projects. Proficiency in AutoSprink, BIM (Navisworks), and water-based system layout is required. The role involves coordinating with the Firetrol Protection Systems Design Manager and coordinating with the Field Foremen. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and resolve discrepancies.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years fire protection design experience in fire protection systems
- BIM (Navisworks) experience
- Texas NICET Level 3 a plus
- Familiarity with NFPA 13, 14, 20, 22 and FM Global Standards
- Technical understanding of Fire Sprinkler Design
- AutoCAD experience and third party software training
- Read and interpret project drawings and specifications
- Competent math ability
- Good basic computer skills
- Detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
