Job Description
At First Quantum, we are looking for a Process Engineer to provide technical support to operations and maintenance areas, lead initiatives for continuous improvement, and optimize environmental compliance, operational safety, reliability, efficiency, and financial performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Chemistry
- Minimum 2 years of experience in power plants, industrial installations or similar
- Strong knowledge of thermodynamics, fluid systems, materials science, water chemistry and control elements
- Experience with distributed control systems (DCS), HMI interfaces and basic PLC programming
- Knowledge of international standards: ISO 50001, ISO 45001, ISO 9001, ISO 55001
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as PI, RT Duet and Process Advantage
- Proficiency in office software and data analysis software
- High orientation to analysis, problem-solving and process improvement
- Effective communication skills (oral and written) in Spanish, and proficiency in English is highly valued
- Ability to lead technical investigations and train operational staff
- Ability to work in multicultural environments and under pressure
- Strong sense of ownership, responsibility and results orientation
