Job Description
FirstEnergy is seeking a Director of Operations for its Pennsylvania 24/7/365 electric utility operations. This full-time, on-site position within the Pennsylvania Service Company subsidiary will lead utilities operations, ensuring safe and reliable electricity delivery and compliance with regulatory standards. The role involves a focus on financial responsibility, leading operational groups, and fostering a high-performing safety culture.
Requirements
- At least 10+ years of experience in the electric utility industry
- At least 5+ years of management experience in any combination of utility operations, construction/design services, or transmission/distribution support
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred
- Experienced in federal, state, and local laws impacting utilities
- Strong leadership and operational skills
- Understanding of billing and tariffs
