CTE Academic Teacher - Healthcare Work-Based Learning

Five Keys is a nonprofit organization that provides various services to individuals and families to overcome poverty and inequity. The CTE Academic Teacher - Healthcare Work-Based Learning role is a part-time temporary position that involves preparing students for healthcare careers by combining instruction with extensive hands-on practice. The position requires adaptability, flexibility, and a positive attitude, with a focus on maintaining a diverse group of people. The role involves facilitating hands-on clinical instruction, creating an engaging learning environment, and maintaining student attendance and academic progress records. The ideal candidate will have previous teaching experience, a valid California CTE Teaching Credential in Health Science and Medical Technology, and at least 5 years of experience in a related field.

Requirements

• Previous teaching experience required
• Valid California CTE Teaching Credential in Health Science and Medical Technology
• At least 5 years of experience in a related field
• Ability to work in a correctional facility and travel throughout the area to community sites
• Frequent and prolonged standing, walking, and sitting
• Frequent talking and hearing conversations
• Occasional reaching with hands and arms
• Occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs
