Fluxergy is seeking a Mechanical Engineer II to join their team in Irvine, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting in-process quality control, conducting mechanical design work, and managing design changes to improve product performance and manufacturability. The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and at least 2 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in a regulated industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- At least 2 years of mechanical engineering experience, preferably in a regulated industry (FDA experience preferred).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks for designing and verifying mechanical components.
- Experience creating and reviewing technical drawings for production.
- Knowledge of design for manufacturing (DFM) principles.
- Experience designing integrated test fixtures for product validation and manufacturing.
- Familiarity with systems engineering concepts and automation and data analysis using tools such as Python.
- Ability to write detailed specifications and test plans for subsystems.
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify and resolve production assembly issues.
- Experience in risk analysis for R&D and production environments.
- Cross-functional collaboration experience with electrical and firmware teams.
- Familiarity with finite element analysis (FEA) is a plus.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and adapt to evolving priorities.
