Job Description:
As a senior fullstack Java software developer, you will help our customers to better utilize the potential of digitalization in production by continuously improving and expanding our leading MES (Manufacturing Execution System).
You will work closely with our product experts in an iterative and agile environment. You will work in small module-based teams of developers and product experts to understand the specific requirements and develop meaningful solutions.
You will consider technical implementation aspects such as:
- Maintainability
- Software quality
- Reliability
- Scalability
- Efficiency
You will develop with innovative technologies (such as Akka, Apache Ignite, NoSQL) and modern architectures (such as Reactive Architecture, Complex Event Processing, Microservices with REST APIs).
You will also follow new developments/technologies and check if they are useful for us.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the quality of our critical production software through automated software tests and manual, integrated tests with product experts.
- Bring your expertise in Java programming and agile software development to the table.
Requirements:
- A successful study in computer science, business informatics or a related field, or a completed vocational training in the aforementioned fields.
- Good knowledge and several years of professional experience in Java programming, as well as practical experience in agile software development.
- Desirable knowledge and experience in:
- Development tools: IntelliJ IDEA, Git, Jira, Bitbucket, Maven
- Testing frameworks: JUnit, Mockito
- Technologies: Spring, Hibernate, Akka, Apache Ignite
- Databases: SQL Server, Oracle, MongoDB
- Interface technologies: JMS, MQTT, REST
- UI frameworks: CaptainCasa, Vaadin, HTML5, Javascript
- Excellent German and English skills.
