Senior Exterior Systems Engineer

Ford is seeking a Senior Exterior Systems Engineer to join their Electric Vehicles team. This role involves designing, prototyping, and validating systems and components for advanced EV vehicle programs, collaborating with designers and cross-functional teams, and contributing to overall system integration from concept to launch. The engineer will focus on aesthetics and design possibilities, exploring interior and exterior components.

Requirements

• Integrate technical, feasibility, manufacturing, and program requirements into the exterior design and theme development.
• Transfer engineering and key regulatory requirements to design, providing feasibility and technical input.
• Generate concept alternatives and feasible solutions for technically challenging areas in design.
• Own CAD and BOM for systems and components, including surface development and GD&T.
• Interpret aerodynamics and CAE simulation, test results, and integrate recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system manufacturing, assembly feasibility, and serviceability.
