Software Engineer II

Form Energy is hiring a software engineer to support stress testing firmware and embedded software systems. The role involves developing software interfaces, building abstraction layers, and delivering a product that enables internal customers to write firmware/embedded software test cases.

Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
• 3+ years working with Python and unit testing frameworks in a professional software/firmware capacity
• 1+ years of experience writing in C, C++, Rust or Go in a professional software/firmware capacity
• Familiarity working with embedded communication protocols, such as CAN, SPI, I2C, and UART
• Experience reading hardware schematics
• Product manager mindset, particularly when it comes to scoping firmware interfaces and defining requirements
