Staff Mechanical Design Engineer, Enclosure

They are seeking a Staff Mechanical Design Engineer to lead design efforts for their iron-air battery enclosure, optimizing performance, quality, reliability, and cost for high-volume manufacturing.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
• Experience leading design work for complex mechanical systems
• Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD), specifically SolidWorks modeling and drafting
• Proficient in component design for mass manufacturing and assembly (DFMA), especially sheet metal, stampings, weldments and extruded components
• Proficient with prototyping techniques and working in a machine shop environment
• Familiarity with mechanical verification testing
• Familiarity with electro-mechanical systems, power electronics, or batteries is a plus
