Job Description
This role offers a chance to join a dynamic R&D team focused on the development of Formlabs' printing process and bringing transformative products to market. The Senior Product Design Engineer will work cross-functionally, innovate new products, and transition designs from research to manufacturing. They will have a critical role in system architecture, hardware prototyping, and data-driven decision-making.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on, mechanism and mechatronic product design experience
- Experience with cross-disciplinary hardware prototyping
- Experience working with sensors and actuators
- Strong analytical skills, data-driven decision making
- Knowledge of material properties of plastics, metals, and adhesives
- Testing and analysis experience with a focus on hands-on testing
- Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing techniques
- Experience with statistical tolerance analysis techniques
- Knowledge of materials properties
