Senior Forest Technician

Forsite is seeking a Senior Forest Technician to lead forest development activities, including reconnaissance, ecological assessments, and plan development in a safe and timely manner. The ideal candidate has a diploma or degree in forestry, experience in multiphase timber development project management, and a strong understanding of forest legislation and policy.

Requirements

• A safety conscious attitude and experience supporting safety programs
• Post-secondary education with a diploma or degree in forestry
• Registered or eligible to registered with the FPBC as an RPF or RFT
• A minimum of 3 years of multiphase timber development project management in British Columbia
• A strong understanding of the forest legislation, regulation and policy impacting forest planning and management in British Columbia
• Valid driver's license with a clean abstract
• Enthusiasm and passion for forestry and working outdoors in all weather conditions
