Software Development Engineer

Fortinet is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Cybersecurity Analytics & Enforcement team. This role focuses on developing and maintaining policies for detecting and responding to cybersecurity violations using a framework called Insight Team. The engineer will contribute to policy creation, application of machine learning for anomaly detection, and enhancing the execution environment using technologies like Go and PostgreSQL. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Agent, Product, and Support teams is key.

Requirements

• Direct experience with Starlark (a Python-like embedded scripting language) is a bonus.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Strong programming skills with 2+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience with Java, C, C++, or similar languages.
• Familiarity with Python and a strong interest in data science.
