VP, Data Governance

Fortitude Reinsurance Company Ltd. is a leading provider of legacy reinsurance solutions. The Vice President, Data Governance is responsible for defining and executing the firmwide data governance strategy, establishing policies, and embedding best practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Information Management, Computer Science, Business, or related field
• 12+ years of experience in data governance, data management, or information strategy, with at least 5+ years in a senior leadership role
• Proven success in implementing enterprise-scale data governance frameworks (DAMA, DCAM, EDM Council, etc.)
• Deep expertise in metadata management, data cataloging, lineage, and data quality platforms (e.g., Collibra, Alation)
• Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks for data (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX, financial regulations)
• Executive presence and ability to influence across executive committee, business leaders, and technology stakeholders
• Experience leading cross-functional teams and governance councils in a large, complex organization
• Domain knowledge of insurance, reinsurance, or financial services required
