The Safety Director will design, lead, and execute health and safety strategies and systems to minimize risks and prevent injury. This senior role is tasked with planning, coordinating, and overseeing all safety-related activities to drive a culture of safety, including managing safety staff, creating budgets, ensuring compliance, creating and adhering to goals, and developing preventative programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Safety and Health, Business, Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Must possess a valid driver's license.
- OSHA 30 required. CHST, CSP, CSHM, OHST, FA/CPR, and NFPA70E a plus.
- Minimum 9 years of relevant safety program experience.
- Proven success developing and leading safety programs and strategies.
- Electrical construction safety experience preferred. Large-scale commercial construction safety experience necessary.
- Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Strong leadership and influence abilities.
- Ability to collaborate to achieve maximum results.
- Track record in safety system implementation.
- Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with success evaluating business data and key performance indicators.
- Strong communication skills. Ability to effectively read and write clear, accurate, and concise documents, reports, presentations, and/or business correspondence.
- Skilled in Microsoft Programs (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint). Bluebeam desired.
- Physically able (with or without an accommodation) to work in indoor and outdoor environments with uneven terrain and variable conditions including heat, cold, noise, and working in the presence of heavy, moving, dangerous equipment
