The Facilities Technician II is responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of building systems and equipment. The position supports the reliability and efficiency of critical building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety systems.
Requirements
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems
- Monitor, adjust, and maintain building automation systems (BMS) for efficient operation
- Conduct routine inspections and rounds of all building systems and equipment
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical issues in a timely manner
- Maintain chilled water systems and assist in water treatment and purification processes
- Support testing and inspections of critical equipment, ensuring compliance with performance standards
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, work orders, and system documentation
- Ensure adherence to all safety standards, utilizing appropriate protective equipment
- Communicate effectively with management, peers, vendors, and contractors
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as power outages, equipment malfunctions, or system alarms
- Assist with inventory management, tools, and spare parts procurement
