The Procurement Specialist position requires an individual with outstanding communication skills, ability to plan ahead and identify new opportunities with regards to cost, schedule, and risk mitigation strategies.
Requirements
- Manage the procurement lifecycle for goods and services
- Maintain compliance with relevant federal and state regulations
- Prepare and issue RFPs (Request for Proposals) and RFQs (Request for Quotations)
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and provide strategic sourcing solutions
- Maintain accurate procurement records
- Track the shipping status and ensure the shipment will arrive on time
- Analyze supplier performance and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to ensure the best value for the company
- Assist in audits and compliance reviews
