Job Description
As a Slope Stability Technician at Freeport-McMoRan, you will assist with routine small and medium-sized Engineering projects, assemble data, and utilize computer programs to solve Engineering problems. You will work under close supervision and perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- One (1) year of experience in an Engineering or Technical area relevant to the assignment
- Knowledge of specialized equipment, methods and techniques appropriate to assignment, including GIS/GPS mapping techniques
- Skill in safely using, maintaining and repairing specialized equipment to complete assigned projects
- Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
- Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards
