Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of History

The Department of History at Furman University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor in early North American history (up to 1820). The successful candidate will be expected to be an excellent classroom instructor and student mentor, establish and maintain an active scholarly agenda, and be an enthusiastic contributor of service to the Department and the University.

Requirements

• Ph.D. in History required by August 1, 2026
• Teaching interests appropriate for a liberal arts college
• Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds
