Senior Project Manager - Data Centres

Middleton Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager (Data Centres) with experience in delivering mission-critical infrastructure, particularly within the data centre sector. The successful candidate will bring a strong understanding of high-reliability power systems, grid connection processes, and the commercial drivers underpinning hyperscale and colocation developments.

Requirements

• Proven experience delivering data centre projects with significant electrical infrastructure components.
• Experience managing complex stakeholder environments including network service providers, AEMO, regulators, developers, contractors, and global operators.
• Demonstrated capability managing large-scale electrical infrastructure packages, including HV substations, switching stations, 66 kV–220 kV connections, or equivalent.
• Commercial acumen in capital-intensive projects, including risk allocation, programme compression strategies, procurement sequencing, and contractor interface management.
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams while maintaining accountability for programme, budget, and technical outcomes.
• Strong client-facing capability with experience supporting investment decisions, feasibility studies, due diligence, and board-level reporting.
• A growth mindset, with the ability to identify and convert opportunities within the rapidly expanding data centre and digital infrastructure market.
