Job Description
The Director of Construction is responsible for leading all aspects of OSP construction operations, including planning, budgeting, resource allocation, project execution, and vendor management. This role plays a strategic role in deploying and expanding fiber and broadband networks, ensuring timely project delivery and meeting or exceeding expectations. The position requires strong leadership, project management, and compliance skills.
Requirements
- Develop and execute OSP construction strategies.
- Oversee the end-to-end construction of outside plant infrastructure.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Establish project schedules, milestones, and performance metrics.
- Select, negotiate, and manage third-party construction vendors and contractors.
- Monitor contractor performance and adherence to safety, quality, and contractual standards.
- Develop and manage construction budgets, forecasts, and cost controls.
- Hire, mentor, and lead a high-performing construction management team.
- Work closely with Billing, Permitting, Municipalities, Network Operations, and Executive teams.
- Travel for project sites and contractor meetings.
