Building Maintenance Specialist

Galloway Ridge is seeking a Building Maintenance Specialist to perform upkeep, repair, installation, and restoration of buildings within a continuing care retirement community. The role involves plumbing, electrical, kitchen equipment maintenance, and general tasks, requiring efficient operation of tools and communication with residents and staff. Scheduling flexibility and availability for emergency situations are key.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• At least one year of general maintenance experience
• At least one year of woodwork/carpentry, plumbing, and/or HVAC experience
• Working knowledge of general maintenance
• Ability to read blueprints and read measuring instruments
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schematics
• Working independently
• Ability to move heavy objects
• Willingness to perform duties both inside and outside the facility
