Job Description
GCI is seeking a Network Maintenance Technician I to maintain and repair system wide network signal processing. The role involves troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance of various network infrastructure components. Responsibilities include completing preventative and corrective maintenance, conducting routine maintenance, and supporting senior technicians. Successful candidates will work under close supervision and contribute to ensuring reliable and efficient network operations.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of radio frequency/microwave/fiber optic/AC/DC/wireless/HFC networks
- Knowledge of NEC, NESC, OSHA, FCC, and company rules and regulations
- Ability to perform routine construction and maintenance
- Valid driver’s license with proof of insurance
- Completion of pre-employment and/or return to work physical and fitness
- Experience with technical equipment like test equipment and signal level meters
- Experience with route sheets, documentation, and reporting procedures
