Job Description
Gemini is a cryptocurrency and Web3 platform seeking a Staff Data Platform Engineer. This role is vital in building, scaling, and maintaining the data infrastructure, with a focus on architecture, reliability, and performance. Collaboration with data engineering and product engineering teams is essential. The position requires being available twice a week in New York City or San Francisco.
Requirements
- Deep expertise in data and storage technologies (RDBMS and NoSQL), Object Storage (S3)
- Demonstrated experience with advanced database scaling strategies
- Strong knowledge of high-availability architectures and proficiency with monitoring tools
- Experience with cloud-based database and data processing platforms (Amazon Aurora, Databricks, AWS RDS)
- Hands-on experience with modern data transport and streaming platforms (Kafka, Kinesis, Pulsar)
- Strong programming skills (Python, Bash, SQL) and experience with CI/CD practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
