Job Description
A newly established start-up in Silicon Valley is seeking a CUDA Kernels Engineer to transform biology and medicine using Generative AI. The company is pioneering pan-modal Large Biological Models (LBM) and is positioned at the forefront of biomedicine. The role involves developing high-performance GPU/CPU kernels, optimizing hardware utilization, and collaborating with platform teams to improve training and inference efficiency.
Requirements
- A strong coder with excellent skills in C/C++ and Python
- Deep understanding of GPU, CPU, or other AI accelerator architectures
- Experience writing and optimizing compute kernels with CUDA or similar languages
- Familiarity with LLM (and/or other foundation model) architectures and training infrastructure
- Experience driving ML accuracy with low-precision formats
- 1+ years of relevant industry experience
- Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering with a specialization in Computer Architecture, Parallel Computing, Compilers, or other Systems (Preferred)
- Experience building compilers (Preferred)
- Experience working with hardware developers (Preferred)
