Become a part of the BIW team and help keep our shipbuilders safe. As a dual-role department, we also provide Emergency Medical Services at the Bath, ME, facilities. Firefighters will be expected to make routine inspections and fire-safety assessments on board ships under construction and inside all BIW manufacturing buildings and office areas.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid Maine EMS license (EMT or Advanced EMT)
- Maine or Pro-Board Firefighter 1 and 2 certifications
- Current and active member in a volunteer or career department
- Previous interior firefighting and fire service experience
- Confined Space Rescue experience
- Technical Rope Rescue experience
