Scientist/Sr. Scientist, High-Throughput Chemistry

General Proximity is a seed-stage startup developing the next generation of induced-proximity medicines. We are seeking an experienced high-throughput chemist to be a founding member of our High-Throughput Chemistry Team.

Requirements

• PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Biology, Medicinal Chemistry, or related field
• Industry experience is desirable, but the ability to work hard and learn fast is more important to us
• Deep understanding of small-molecule drug discovery and its relationship to human disease
• Top-notch written and oral communication skills
• Strong experience with organic synthesis, reaction optimization, and parallel chemistry workflows
• Hands-on experience with high-throughput synthesis technologies and automation platforms
• Familiarity with analytical techniques such as LC/MS, NMR, and HPLC for reaction monitoring and characterization
• Proficiency in compound management, CRO management, and maintaining and enhancing high-throughput instrumentation and automation systems
• Handling and interpreting large experimental datasets; experience with data visualization tools
