Billing Specialist

We are seeking a Billing Specialist to join our team at Generations Family Health Center, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for back office patient revenue cycle transactions, including receiving and recording insurance payments, and performing collection activities.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalency
• Two (2) years of experience in primary health care, oral health or behavioral health setting
• Knowledge of insurance plans and managed care plans
• Coding certificate or training preferred
• Knowledge of medical and/or dental terminology
• Familiarity with practice management and electronic health records systems
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong customer service skills
