Job Description
Geomagical Labs is hiring a Platform Engineering Lead to lead their cloud-based Platform Engineering team, building and running backend services for the IKEA Kreativ app, a visual AI experience used by tens of millions of users worldwide.
Requirements
- Experience successfully leading teams of at least 2 engineers.
- Experience building and operating internet applications.
- Strong Python programming skills – especially data I/O & Django UI.
- Strong SQL skills (we use Postgres).
- Solid skills with modern cloud-based storage & compute (esp. Google Cloud)
- Experience with Kubernetes & Docker containerized deployment & scaling.
- Experience with web API development and workflow automation.
- Experience measuring & optimizing service latency/throughput (capacity planning).
- Experience operating scalable systems using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Pulumi.
