Job Description
Gerdau is a major steel manufacturer seeking a Supervisor to oversee scrap movement and operation. The role involves personnel supervision, equipment maintenance, and adherence to safety regulations. The company emphasizes a culture of diversity, innovation, and sustainability.
Requirements
- Proper placement of incoming / outgoing scrap materials
- Supervising scrap yard personnel for the safe and proper handling of all scrap materials
- Diagnosis and implementing subsequent solution of equipment breakdown problems
- Proper operation and utilization of equipment to prevent damage and minimize repair
- Accountability for employee performance management (scheduling, payroll, etc.)
- Knowledge of Manitoba Safety and Health Act and Regulations
- Working knowledge of the Manitoba Employment Standards
- Overseeing and achieving production targets
