Job Description
Gerhart is seeking a Controls Engineer Intern to join their team for a temporary Full-time position. The role involves working with the Engineering Solutions team, supporting process controls engineering design and manufacturing efforts, and collaborating with other engineers to develop solutions. The internship program includes a work experience rotation and exposure to various areas of the project development cycle, including custom product design, PLC and HMI programming, and in-field experiences.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university OR has completed an Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology
- Exposure and able to use 2D CAD design software (Autocad preferred)
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment
- Has a desire for hands-on experience
- Familiarity with basic shop tools and electrical testing equipment
- Must be able to work with multidisciplinary teams and independently
