Job Description
Getty is seeking a Metadata Specialist III to join their Research Institute's Digital Stewardship and Metadata Optimization section within Special Collections Management in Los Angeles. This role will focus on designing and implementing metadata strategies, working with internal teams and external data sources, and contributing to large-scale metadata initiatives. The position is part of a program-wide effort to enhance the digital archival collections and is supported by a commitment to knowledge-sharing and institutional sustainability.
Requirements
- MLIS from an ALA-accredited program
- Undergraduate and graduate degree in an appropriate discipline (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- 5+ years of related professional experience
- Strong communication skills
- Special Subject Knowledge (relevant to visual arts, libraries, or archives)
- Experience with OpenRefine and other computational tools
